Design and selection of water-cooled screw chillers:
Selection process: calculate each individual space load → select the end → select the host → calculate the cold / heat load → confirm;
Indoor load calculation: indoor load (W = room area (m) × unit load (W / m)
Note: The selection of load indicators needs to take into account the actual situation on site.
End selection: Select the appropriate end form according to load, noise, installation space and other conditions.
Host selection: Generally, the host is selected according to the coefficient of 0.7-0.8 at the same time. When selecting the host, it is preferred to select 2 units, no need to consider standby. (The system has special requirements that must be continuously operated, and an alternate refrigerator can be set.)
Calculate the heat load: if there is heat demand, it needs to be accounted for. If there is no need to calculate the host and the end, the heat load is calculated. If it is satisfied, it can be directly selected. If it is not satisfied, the end of the heat load should be selected, and the host should be used to calculate the cold load until it is cold. The heat load is sufficient to meet the demand.
Selection of water-cooled screw chillers
Example: Construction: The construction area of an office building is 13000m, and the air-conditioning area is 12000. The large conference room area is 800m, the small conference room area is 200m, and the office building construction area is 9200m2. There is new wind demand and no heating demand.
A. Calculate the cold load.
a. Estimated according to the air conditioning cold load method:
Large conference room: 800×200 (W/m2)=160000=160kW
Small meeting room: 2000×240 (Wm)=480000-480kW
Office area: 9200×120W/m)=1104000W=1104kW
Total: 160kW+480KW+1104kW=1744k1
Load when selecting the host: 1744kW × 0.70 = 1220.8kW
b. Estimated by the building area method: 13000×98W=1274kW
C. Calculated from a and b, the cooling load is calculated as 1274 kW.
B. Initially selected unit model and number

Installation points:
Installation environment: The unit should avoid approaching fire sources and flammable materials. If it is combined with a heating element such as a boiler, it should pay full attention to the effects of heat radiation;
Use a room with a room temperature below 45 °C and good ventilation. It is not allowed to be installed or stored outdoors or in the open air. It is not allowed to be installed in a corrosive atmosphere.
Choose a place with less dust;
The site should be well lit for easy maintenance and inspection;
In order to meet the needs of maintenance, overhaul and cleaning of the evaporator and condenser heat exchange tubes, there must be sufficient pipe space at either end of the unit, which should be equivalent to the length of the evaporator and condenser of the unit in the length direction;
In order to facilitate the lifting and overhaul of the machine, the space required for installation, operation and maintenance of the unit should be reserved;
Complete drainage should be achieved around the water-cooled screw chiller and throughout the machine room.
